From Summer Student to Class President
Colin Webb ’18, a Tom and Betsy Davis Scholar, first visited campus in summer 2013 for the Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science program. Now president of his MIT class, the mechanical engineering and computer science major has worked on drones, interned in Mexico City, and designed a 3-D interactive campus map. “I am very grateful that you gave me an opportunity to attend this prestigious institution and do what I love to do,” Webb wrote in a letter to Tom ’84, SM ’85 and Betsy ’84, MAR ’88 Davis. “You really are making a difference in my life.”
